Get Curious About The Wonderment Around You!

Are you a human who seems to be in a hurry all the time? Do you ever stop and wonder where all the time has gone? The universe has a suggestion for you. STOP!! BE STILL!! Do you see a flower at your feet right now or some other bit of natural beauty. Stop and wonder a minute, how it came to be. Check out the colors on it and look at the rich texture. Realize that it is beautiful just as you are. When you take time to look with wonder upon something outside or inside of yourself it is like saying “Thank you!”  and “I see you.” It is honoring. It is good to be curious about all the wonderment around you. It means you are still a grateful child within! Bless you!

More Than Enough!

When we sit still and think about it, it simply boggles the mind doesn’t it? The thought that there is so much of everything. We truly have all we need on this earth right now! If everyone followed the example of the birds of prey that live around the nearby lake here at Mancos State Park, every human could have plenty! See, the birds don’t squabble over the same fish to eat because there are plenty. They each pick a spot. They each hunt for only what they need for the moment. They each take up only the space they need for sitting and resting in the trees, sharing the rest of the tree with other/different breeds of birds. So what is the deal with us humans then? Oh, yes, someone taught someone else that the person with the most is the most important person. And some of us actually fell for that myth!! Sorry, no matter how much we grasp and hold onto things attempting to have it all, we are still all One and there is still more that enough for all of us to have all of the food, clothing, joy, shelter, and money that each of us is due! Bless you!

Change Risistance, Are You Involved In That?

IMG-20131017-00464Can you feel it? The tension in the neck, shoulders, and soul, that we can feel when change is about to occur is uncomfortable to most of us. We sometimes do everything we can to avoid it. I know the feeling too! The sensing that a job or career is coming to a close. I have had the knots in the stomach region that many of us experience. But think of this. Are you one of them? One of the ones who are resistant to even wonderful change? Do you fight the good along with that which you perceive as not good? Imagine the windfall of your life is coming but you fight it because it is disguised in your career's ending.  You see, that resistance, the thinking we know what is best must change also. We must learn to trust in the process of change. And we must keep a clear vision of our complete success.  Then we can enable our hearts to embrace what comes as perfect! Divinity, also called The Causeless Cause has a perfect order to things and trust empowers us to float upon the flow in calm and peace. Blessings!

Friends Over The Long Haul

How long have you known them? Your friends, I mean. Do you know more about them than you can remember? Good friends, long term friends, and people who stay even when the chips are down are worth more than any amount of money. I say this because when we each get ready to lay down our earthly vessel and set our spirit free of the body, who is there? Is all our money and things there? Does our fine china and favorite jewels hang out with us in our last moments? I say no, but our friends do hang out with us even when we aren't at our best. Even when it's time to depart from earth it's our friends and family who we see last in most cases. I sit here and count my blessings as I count the friends I've made over a lifetime. Yes, they are in my corner even when it looks bleak. I thank Divinity for every one of them. I am blessed and I bet you are too because we have many friends and family who are there as we are for them, over the long haul!

Coming Around of All Things

Patience is a virtue that nature can teach us so well! When we think of a quartz crystal and how long it took to become that beautiful quartz it is mind boggling. Almost nothing happens fast on the material plane of existence. And have you ever sat and counted the rings in a tree stump to see how old it was when it got cut down? I have, to the tune of 117 years worth of rings. I had such adoration for a tree that took the time and had the patience to give us shade for so long. There is never a need for us to rush when we see though the eyes of what just is. When we can move through life with a knowing that all is ultimately well with us then we have learned valuable wisdom and patience. Maybe and old tree in our life taught us that there is indeed a coming around of all things, and no amount of unease or rushing is necessary.

Welcome Home

Are you ready? Do you look forward to friends and strangers alike gracing your doorway? The impact we have in the world may be greatly enhanced when our willingness to open our doors grows. It may feel uncomfortable to do this at first but just think if all of Gods creations felt warmed in your home by your welcoming smile. Have you ever wished you could be courageous enough to go to a neighbor for something you really needed? We can decide to be that neighbor where all who need can come and ask. Today, try it and be blessed by it!

The Difficulty Of Dedication

Is it tough for you as it is for most of us? Taking even 5 or 10 minutes to meditate sounds simple, it is simple, but that discipline is one of the hardest for most of us to accomplish. Yet when we dedicate ourselves to it meditation is a life extending, life enriching engagement. I find it a challenge too. Everything else wants attention the minute I decide to sit with stillness! The same goes for exercise, right? It is funny how the most important albeit most simple things in regard to personal growth and expansion are also the easiest to disregard as useless or too difficult. The difficulty of dedication is, I believe on purpose. Life fully experienced is just not everyone's cup of tea. And meditation, self-reflection, and exercise are things that the few, the strong, and the seekers seem to go after. May we today decide what is most important to us and renew our dedication to it, for good!

How Life Loves Us

Can you imagine being raised by a starfish? Or, what would life be like if a caterpillar had responsibility for growing you into a wonderful human being? Though an adventure, life might not be as it is for us if we were raised by a different species. Though it has happened a time or two on our planet that an animal has raised a human for a time, most of the time life loves us by pairing us with at least quite similar beings to be brought up. There is no need for us as babies to go shopping for the best four legged beast, or to do the job ourselves. Most of us, I dare say, have the perfect parent/s for our growth needs. Many years ago and often since I have lifted up a prayer with much gratitude for the parents I was given knowing it's been all for the best! When we become still and really look at where we've been and where we are now, it is blessed to see how life in all it's wisdom, loves us.

Patience of the Heron

Can you imagine standing still for long periods of time waiting for just the right food to come along? The heron in all grace and beauty has mastered stillness. I attempt the same admittedly with some struggle. Do you get the opportunity to imitate the heron? Is it in your mind to sit still until the divine catch comes along? May we each develop that kind of perfect patience.

Infinite Intimacy

When I study nature, looking for special photo opportunities, I sometimes see things that take my breath away. This morning for instance, there were so many water drops hanging everywhere from the rain last night. It struck a romantic cord to me, reminding me of the intimacy of things and people. We are so wonderfully interdependent and incredibly intimate in our relating with one another whether on a social or sexual level . Notice the water drops that kiss the blade of grass washing yesterdays dust off of each one, evaporating by evening, then returning the next day as dew embracing the same blade of grass once again. Are we so different? Don't we see and experience love in different expressions over and over again. It seems to me that all things and all people for infinity have danced the same intimate dance as the water drops this morning! Bless you!

Nature, The Fight To Let It Be

Have you ever been heart-sick about something you saw in nature? Did you want to intervene? I experienced that yesterday. A certain cat I know (identity hidden for her privacy), came home to proudly show how she had caught a dragonfly! A big beautiful dragonfly was caught in her teeth and she wanted me to let her in the house with it. Of course I said "No"! My heart was broken! I want her to be a cat, yes. I want her to be free to wander outside, yes. But shouldn't even a cat eat what it kills quickly so as not to cause undo suffering. I know, she's a cat for goodness sake!! I have gotten used to her catching grasshoppers and smaller insects, which she eats right away. Not that I like it because I love Gods creatures great and small (well except for when the mosquito is after me)! But the worst part of the drama was that she then did not eat it! It was injured, and she left it. I scolded her and put the dragonfly in a large bowl with some grass and water. I covered it with my hands sending it Light energy, and asked my fiance to do the same as he is a Reiki Master/Teacher. He then placed it in the bushes to allow nature to continue to direct it's course in life. I know it may seem silly to you that all this drama went on over a dragonfly, but somehow I felt the need to send all the love I could to this little beautiful creature. I wish it completeness and wholeness in its journey just as many of you have wished me on mine!

Angels Along The Way

Do you know one? Was yours disguised as a person, animal, or apparent inanimate object? It is so amazing when we open our eyes and see them! I met one of mine yesterday. Without her I would not have noticed that I had left my purse at the last place I had done business that day. She turned out to be a most encouraging person! I walked away from that interaction beaming from the heart out saying "Wow, what a perfect experience!". I know I was in the presence of God while standing face to face with her. Robert, my fiance met some of his angels in the form of a deer and her twin fawns, his angels of encouragement. Things like this make me vow to stop questioning occurrences. Time and time again, God/Love shows me that everything is perfect and that all along the way there are angels in place for us.

Our Unity Tree

While sitting by the lake soaking in the stillness this morning, I was observing the animal activity in a large tree next to me. The animals in the tree were harmoniously moving about. Each appeared to be doing its own thing, not concerned with what the other animals were doing. One bird flew quite close to me in its traveling, not worrying about me hurting it. It reminded me of the positive visions I have of our planet. I envision us living in harmony also, not stressing and striving, but utilizing what our Mother Earth provides for us. I see us working around each other with grace and beauty, forgetting the concept of enemy and competitor. This is no more far out than is the tree full of different animals all living in harmony! May we live in graceful harmony from this moment on, like the animals in this mornings unity tree!

Energy Recognition

Some can feel it, the energy of others. By others I don't just mean people. I mean animals, trees, and everything that lives. Have you ever walked down a sidewalk to have a bird land on you? Or, when you saw someone, you absolutely knew you had met them before but maybe in another world. Their energy felt so familiar! The other day as I was sitting by the lake playing the Indian Flute that had been gifted to me by the local Flute and boat maker Don Loweree, a bird came near to listen. Sitting on a branch above me it studied me as though we had met before. I greeted it with love knowing that we are all one and I felt that oneness deeply! If we are still and calm inside we recognize this as comfortable. A wonderful blanket of loving energy!

Sweet Remembrances

Do you remember your favorite spot on earth? Silly question isn't it? Of course we remember our favorites! And what about when we go away for a long time? It is so incredibly sweet to come back! That is how I feel when I visit Aurora Colorado where I spent about 24 years of my life. It feels so rich. The many cultures which reside there are so inviting to my creative side. And if you don't know, Aurora is one of the best places for sunset viewing that I have ever seen, a color extravaganza! The city of the sun weaves into the tapestry of my life like a beautiful buffalo on a prairie scene blanket. It's colorfulness represents the miscellany I see when I look in the mirror. Though I love and am thrilled about the life we live now, traveling and camp hosting wherever inspiration leads us and inspiring others as we go, Aurora, my home town is indeed an exquisite sweet remembrance.

Open Road Perspectives

As we drive down the highway I, the passenger blog in this moment,  thank God for freedom of travel and technology that is mobile. Looking at a road that stretches out for miles reminds me of the endless opportunities that the universe affords us if we just look up. Just think, if we look up we see all that is in motion. When we are attentive we catch things we would never see if we are navel gazing. If we look down constantly regretting being on the road, then we miss the eagle flying by. Our challenge this day,  is to never miss a trick! Allow as many opportunities as possible today. Be blessed

Foxlike Family Reflections

I happened upon a fox family condo in the side of a hill overlooking our lake today! The question posed to me then was, "How fox-like are our families?". When I read about their behavior, I saw some interesting similarities. Some of us can relate to being in a family with things like sibling rivalry, and getting booted out of the nest at a young age.  A prayer of gratitude was sent up that, in my human family, none of us siblings killed each-other in a fight which does happen with fox cubs. Happily, I learned that family cooperation extends to fox families as well as we humans. It was wonderful to learn that when the female was raising the cubs for the first few weeks, the male brought home food for all.  Clearly child rearing, at least at first, is a fox family affair. Nature, in the end, has everything perfect for each species on our planet. How similar is your family to the furry fox? May we emulate the cooperative nature of our foxy friends on the blessed day!

Childlike Exploration

When was the last time you looked with absolute absorption at a caterpillar? Do you remember when you giggled with glee at the milkman flowers brushing your face? It thrills the Creator when we revert, or should I say grow into childlike wonder! Today when you see something that catches you as amazing or funny, or super cool, stay with it. Let it carry you forward into that place of wonder like the child you are asked to be! There is, in that moment, no better place to be. Trust me, miracles happen there!

Decisions of a Tree

Looking at a tree there are a million things going on. A knot hole here, a branch group there budding out with leaves. A constant motion, silent as far as we know, of molecules and atoms and such. The tree being a literal city of its own. Can you imagine if all the trees that you are familiar with decided to only make one row of matching branches.? And what if they chose to only allow one bird to stay there at a time? Do you see my point? They simply allow themselves to grow, flowing up and out without resistance! They decided to grow and allowed everything to happen from there trusting themselves to the Creator. Even trusting the forest fire is for the Good of All, they stand there. Then, when it's time to  fall over, they let go and fall. They become a resting place for other animals and natural flower pots with their decomposing trunk. What grace they live with simply by deciding to just allow and just being!
