We had a wonderful time at our 2nd annual karaoke contest fund-raiser! People came all the way down from the mountains to compete this year. A long drive for a contest and a worthy cause according to the contestant. Enjoy the event pictures and press release, included here for you to enjoy.
Press Release
A Balanced Sole Reflexology held their 2nd annual fund raiser, Karaoke for Kids-Colorado on Saturday July 16th! This event raises money for The Greata Horwitz Learning Center on location at Warren Village, giving resident children a stable and nurturing learning environment. It is our goal to use Karaoke for Kids-Colorado (K4KCo) to help build the foundation of "Education over Incarceration" in our state. Warren Village is exemplary in this process! Not only does this enhance our future generations but it saves our current working populous millions of dollars to help our young people become productive citizens and to keep them out of prison. We would like to thank this years sponsors- America's Bar and Grill, Steury's DJ service, Great Western Printing, Inc., Visit Aurora, Jasmine Heard-Mary Kay Consultant and the dedicated volunteers without whom the event would not have been possible! The quote that I wrote in 1999 still remains true to this day regarding those in the teaching fields: The things we teach a child are like a fingerprint on their heart. Only a chosen few have the good fortune to make such an impact on the future men and women of the world.
Thank you Colorado for making a difference! Elizabeth Heard, CEO
And, by the way the First Prize winner won a $100.00 Gift card from America's Bar and Grill! not bad, not bad:>)
