Tropical updates on Dangriga

Well, it has been another week here in Dangriga and I have to say I am learning a ton! Meditation is intence by the sea! Much of the lessons are about my ability to adapt! Like learning from the coral reef's that it is better to not fight life but to go with the flow. I also now realize that by Belize standards I am truly spoiled! And I have to admit I am grateful for that. You know, having hot running water is not such a bad thing in my book. Many of these people have none. Life is so simple for much of the population. But also, life is hard for them yet they are used to it so they don't complain, at least not loudly. Life just is. I have watched boys play basketball with no shoes on( and play well at that). The celebration of Independance day are coming up soon so the town is abuzz with preparation for that. This country is only 29 in terms of it's independance. The jungle tour guide said that. So patience is a great virtue to have. He also said that things go very slow here, and sometimes they just stop. And I can attest to the truth of that. Sunday I did not get to eat until dinner time because nothing was open. I was having a inner fit! Yep, spoiled for sure!
